100 Word Challenge

I came across this challenge today.  I thought that since I am new to the blogging business (okay, I tried blogging several years ago, but I’m not counting it). I would participate in the 100 Word Challenge to help build relationships.  I am posting the link here.

I was overwhelmed by the positive response to my blog today. Thanks to all of y’all (yes, I’m a southern girl) for making me feel so welcome. Let me know what you think of my 100 word story below:

I examine my reflection.  I see gray in my hair.  Every line, around my eyes, and at the corners of my mouth, are accentuated. I turn away.

“What if she doesn’t like us?”

“What if we don’t like her?” My husband asks.

He tucks in his plaid shirt and threads his leather belt through the loops on his skinny jeans (he hates them, but I think he looks sexy).

“Mom. Dad.”

“They’re here. I look ancient.”

“You look beautiful. I bet, she’s nervous.” He takes my hand in his, as we walk to meet Daniel’s date.

And so it begins……
