Happy Easter

You knew today’s post couldn’t be long. It’s Easter and I have three boys, enough said. Happy Easter everyone (for us it’s not about the bunny).

Right before I went to bed, this little poem came in my head ( Sorry, I think I’m still  stuck in rhyme mode).  So, naturally today’s challenge for me, and anyone else who wants, or has time to participate, is to write a poem about Easter.  My inspiration was the one, and only Shel Silverstein. I hope that you will try it and leave it in the comments.

Here the sun is shining, and the birds are singing their songs. It looks like it’s shaping up to be a beautiful Easter! I hope you have a great one!

I look In the basket,

and all that I see,

is a chocolate bunny,

staring at me.

I  bite off his ears,

then ,I chomp off his head.

Next, goes his stomach,

and then, goes his legs.

The last thing to go, the last thing to eat.

Yep, you guessed it- his feet.

All that is left, all that remains,

is the foil that carries,

the poor bunny’s name.
