I decided to take part in the 100 word challenge again. My goal is to write every day for a year. My hope is that I encourage someone else not to give up. Some days my boys are arguing, the dog’s sick, and I have a headache the size of Mt. Saint Helens. Then, there are those days when my boys are telling me how much they love me, the writing is flowing, and I’ve lost five pounds.
This is me walking on the path to that goal.
Down below is the scenario I came up with for the challenge. It’s definitely true to life.
All seven were just arguing amongst themselves when I screamed.
“Mom, she screamed again.” Julliete said
“Why did you scream, Jillian?” Mom said.
“I was trying to talk. They wouldn’t be quiet.” I crossed my arms over my chest.
“What was so important that it couldn’t wait?” Mom said.
“I forgot. They sounded like a bunch of squawking birds.”
“Probably wasn’t important anyway.” Jason, my older brother, said rolling his eyes, and sticking his tongue out at me.
Just then my two year old brother walked in soaked from head to toe.
“I remember now. Jamie’s playing in the toilet.”
