What would you do?

My grandparents

In my  sketch,” Late Night Intruder”, Bertha Mae Floddlebuster was asked if she was going to plant roses and crochet, now that she was retired.  Her answer was an adamant, no.

Above is a picture of my grandparents.  They chose to spend much of their retirement with us grandkids. It is something we all treasure. We realize that not everyone gets that opportunity.

I thought it would be fun to ask y’all how do you want to spend retirement?

Maybe you are retired. How do you spend your days? I can’t wait to hear your responses.

P.S. My husband wanted to be a millionaire and retire by thirty…….let’s just say that didn’t happen 🙂

  1. I’m retired and I love it. It’s been 8-1/2 years and I don’t have enough time in my day to do all I enjoy. I looked after my grandchildren for five years, began blogging, volunteer in a charity bookstore, belong to various organizations. All this, but I do not have enough time to r.e.a.d. 👿

    1. I may not be retired, but I understand about not having time to read. If I do it is for short increments or late at night.- I know I would like to travel more. I have Montana, Europe, and Canada on my bucket list.

      1. Thank YOU. My notes were for me only because there was so much information and I hadn’t traveled in many years. I appreciate that I took notes. I hadn’t traveled in many years. I hadn’t any specific plans about making notes nor blogging although I had let on to my blogging community about this trip I had planned. From the moment we landed, there was no time for jet lag. It was automatic pilot all the way. I’m grateful and astonished I took all these notes as I am not a natural journalist or travel writer.
